Edit the Order of View Objects Using Drag and Drop

Steps for:

Measure Items

You can change the order of multiple measure items using the Measure Items window and then apply all changes at once.

1.   In the view toolbar, click the Pick What To Do With Your Data  icon.

2.   In the Measure Items window, click the drag and drop icon  for an item and continue holding down the mouse button as you drag the item to its new position. Drop it at its new location.

3.   Repeat Step 2 to move other items.

4.   Click OK when you’re done making changes to measure items.

Drag and drop also is enabled in the grid and view explorer on all devices expect iPads. The grid may be the preferred option if you only have one item to move. View explorer may be preferred if you have more edits to make in addition to moving measure items.

Note: If you are working with distinct calculated measure items, you will be permitted to only drop the items before or after all regular or calculated measure items.

Levels

You can rearrange levels using the Navigation Panel, moving them between rows and columns and to / from the View Filter section.

1.   If the panel isn’t displayed yet, click the Show / Hide Navigation Panel icon  in the view toolbar.

2.   Click the drag and drop icon  next to a level and continue holding down the mouse button as you drag the item to its new position. Drop it at its new location (dropping it on the Row, Column, or View Filter title makes the level first in that section).

3.   Repeat Step 2 to move other levels.

Drag and drop also is enabled in the grid and view explorer on all devices expect iPads. The grid may be the preferred moving option if you only have one level to move and its already visible in the grid. View explorer may be preferred if you have more edits to make in addition to moving levels.

Attribute Relationships

In the grid or view explorer, click the attribute relationship that you want to move and continue holding down the mouse button as you move the attribute relationship to its new position. Drop it at its new position.
