  • Delete  - Click to delete the Data Copy.

  • Exit  - Click to exit this window and return to the Data Copy list window.

  • Help  - Click to open help that is specific to working with Data Copies.

Navigation - Click a tab name to go to that tab, or use the Back and Next buttons to move from tab to tab.

General Tab – Use this tab to set up the general properties and the email that will be sent after processing of the Data Copy has completed.

  • Name - Defines the unique name for the Data Copy.

  • Update Option - Leave as Add to add the copied data to existing data. Change to Replace if replacing existing data with the copied data.

  • Email Properties - Use the To, Subject, and Body properties to set up who will receive emails after the Data Copy has been processed. The email tells the user(s) the data copy has been completed and data is ready to use.

Data Mapping Tab - Use properties in this tab to choose the Source data (what to copy from) and the Target data (where to copy data).

  • Select the Category for the measure(s) you want to copy data from using the Source Category drop-down list.

  • Select the Category for the measure(s) you want to copy data to using the Target Category drop-down list.

  • Click the Add A Data Mapping icon . Then use the drop-down lists provided to select the measure to copy from (the Source) and copy to (the Target). If you want to apply a factor to the source data, use the Operator and Factor properties to do so. For example, increase the source data by a factor of 1.5 or 3. Add more mappings if needed by clicking the Add icon for each mapping and choosing the properties for it. Operators to choose from are * / - +. They allow you to multiple, divide, add to, or subtract from the source data by a specified value before the source data gets copied.

  • Click the “X” to delete a mapping.

Time Mapping Tab – Use properties in this tab to specify which periods in time to copy data from and which periods to copy data to for the Data Copy. One to one time mappings that use the same Time Unit and same number of time periods between the Source and Target are recommended. Doing that helps maintain the seasonality of your data.

  • The Source properties determine the range of time to copy data from.

  • The Target properties determine the range of time to copy data to.

  • The Time Mapping Details link opens up a summary of how your selections resolve in absolute time. The details help you verify you selected the correct moments in time. See also Review Time Mapping Details.

Filters Tab - Data will only be copied based on the specified filter criteria if you use the Filters tab. If you don’t use the Filters tab, data for all members will be copied. For each filter you want to specify, do the following.

  • Click the Add Filters To The Source Data icon .

  • Choose a level from the Level drop-down list.

  • Click the Change Filter icon , then select the members you want the Data Copy to consider.

Click the “X” to delete a filter.
