Toolbar -

• New - Click to clear the window and set up a new group.

• Save - Click to save a new group or to save edits to an existing group.

• Delete - Click to delete the active group. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion.

• Exit - Click to exit this window and return to the User Profile Group list window.

• Help - Click to open help that is specific to working with user profile groups.

General -

• Name - Use this field to specify or edit the group name.

• Role - Use this drop-down list if you need to assign a role to the entire group. In that case, all user profiles in the group will have the same role. If no role exists, then you can click Role to access the Role window and add a role. Cases when you would not need to choose a role are for a group are:

• If all the user profiles in the group will have roles assigned to them individually. That means user profiles of this group may have different roles. You can use the User Profile Maintenance window or Role Maintenance window to assign a role to an individual user profile.

• When the group is intended to only have user profiles that have a security administrator level of access in the application. Security administrators do not need to have roles assigned to them.

• Override Home Page – Use this option if you need to assign the user group a home page that differs from the global home page associated with Stratum.Viewer. Select the Override Home Page checkbox. Then enter the information for the web site, shared document, directory, or other supplementary information that you want to act as the home page for this user group.

• Show The Manage Things Options In Top Panel Menu - The main menu in the top panel of Stratum has submenus for different types of functionality. You can disable the Manage Things submenu for users who belong to this user profile group by deselecting this checkbox. Administrative types of functionality such as managing views, user lists, and roles are a part of the Manage Things submenu.

• Show The Analyst Tools Options In Top Panel Menu – The main menu in the top panel of Stratum has submenus for different types of functionality. You can disable the Analyst Tools submenu for users who belong to this user profile group by deselecting this checkbox. This submenu has options for specialty features that are available with licenses for the Stratum Analyst Hub and Stratum Access Hub.

View Groups - Selected view groups will be visible in the Stratum View Pane for user profiles in the user profile group as long as the view group has its Active status set to Yes. Once a group is selected, the Order drop-down list is enabled for it. Use those lists to control the order that the groups display within the All tab of the pane. View groups and user profiles can also be attached to one another using the View Group window. See also Enable or Disable View Groups.

User Profiles - For new groups, this section will list any existing user profiles that do not belong to a user profile group yet. There will be checkboxes next to the user profiles for adding them or removing them from a group. If no user profiles exist or all of the existing user profiles have been assigned to other groups, the text 'No user profiles available to be assigned' displays in this section.
