Stratum Service utilizes a Windows User account when running programs. If you change the user for a Service at any point, make sure the user specified meets the following requirements.
For the instance of the Service that runs a Stratum.Server program, the user must have all privileges a Stratum.Server processing user has, have the Windows rights to “Log on as a service” (see next section), and be a Windows Administrator of the server where the Stratum Service will run.
For the instance of the Service that runs a Stratum.Connector program, the user must have all privileges that a Stratum.Connector user requires (i.e., access to the Server, Connector, Viewer, and Analysis Services databases), have the Windows rights to “Log on as a service” (see next section), and be a Windows Administrator of the server where the Stratum Service will run.
For any Windows User specified for an instance of Stratum Service, you need to grant them rights to “Log on as a service”.
1. Access Administrative Tools and select Local Security Policy.
2. Expand
Local Policies, click on User Rights Assignment, scroll down, and double-click
the
“Log on as a service” policy.
3. Add each Windows User to the policy to grant them “Log on as a service” rights.
